Congratulations to our mechanic Michael Reilly and our customer Dave Stewart on completing the Shitbox Rally 2016! The amazing Shitboxer’s raised $1,530,064 for The Cancer Council. With 8 cars announced dead along the way- most of the cars made it over 3500 km’s from Mackay to Hobart, with a few closed roads creating last minute detours in between. A massive congratulations to all who participated, volunteered and supported them along the way.
Thanks to Liqui Moly, George the owner of George’s Auto Prestige and his team were invited to the Liqui Moly corporate box at the Bathurst 12 Hour Race on February 7th, 2016. It was a full field of incredible automotive art, unleashed onto one of the worlds greatest racing circuits.
George’s Auto Prestige is proud to be sponsoring our customer David Stewart in the Cancer Council Shitbox Rally.
What is it: Shitbox Rally is not a race, rather a challenge to achieve the unthinkable; to drive cars worth $1,000 across Australia via some of its most arduous roads, all in the name of charity.
The race begins in Mackay, North Queensland on May 7th and ends in Hobart, Tasmania on May 13th 2016.
